46th SEA Shooting C’ships gaganapin sa Pilipinas

Iho-host ng Philippine National Shooting Association (PNSA) ang Southeast Asian Shooting Association Championships mula November 24-December 14.

Tampok sa 46th edition ang practical shooting, sporting clays, bench rest, at Olympic shotgun kabilang ang trap and skeet shooting.

Inaasahang walo hanggang siyam na kalapit bansa at 300-350 shooters ang magpapartisipa sa three-week meet na isasagawa in coordination with the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA).

“It’s almost like a fiesta. We’re pretty excited about it, although a bit tiring to prepare,” ani PNSA secretary-general Irene Garcia sa nakaraang Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.

“It’s not really our first time to host it, but it’s going to be the biggest multi-shooting event that the Philippines will be hosting for the year,” dagdag niya.

“We just want the whole shooting community to work together, because at the end of the day, Filipinos love to shoot, we really do. And we really excel in shooting,” sabi pa ni Garcia  sa forum na dinaluhan din ni bench rest shooter Richard Cases.

Irerepresenta ang Philippine team nina trap shooters Hagen Topacio, Eric Ang, at Olympian Jethro Dionisio. Sa skeet ay babaril sina Enrique Leandro Enriquez at Olympian Bryan Rosario, at sa distaff ay kabilang sina Valerie Levanza, Abby Cuyong, Amparo Acuna, at Franchette Quiroz.

Umaasa si Garcia mag-podium finish ang mga Pinoy shooter lalo’t ang mga makakalaban nila ay posibleng makatunggali nila sa Southeast Asian Games 2025.

Gaganapin ang practical shooting Nov. 24-Dec. 2 sa Magnus-Frontsight Firing Range sa Lipa City, Batangas, habang ang bench rest ay sa Marine Corps Training Center sa Taguig City sa Nov. 25- Dec. 5.

Sa Nov. 25-30 ang pistol events sa Taguig shooting range pa rin, habang ang sporting clays ay isasagawa sa Nov. 30-Dec. 9 sa NCSAP Firing Range, Laperal Farm sa Lipa, Batangas.
