The Department of Justice assured the public on Wednesday that Justice Secretary Boying Remulla is in the pink of health.

“The Secretary of Justice is well and about. There is no issue on his health,” Justice Undersecretary Jesse Hermogenes Andres said in a press briefing.

Andres added, “It is important that his executive time is preserved to deal with so many other things.”

He issued the statement amid rumors that Remulla is admitted to the intensive care unit.

On June 27, 2023, Remulla underwent a bypass procedure to remove a blockage in his heart.
