DND on threat of ‘Marce’: Gov’t on top of situation

Concerned government agencies are closely monitoring developments on Tropical Storm Marce, which intensified into a typhoon on Tuesday.

At a press conference, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was apprised about Marce and the preparations and measures undertaken by the national and local governments.

“Gusto rin po natin ihayag sa ating mga kababayan na ang Presidente po ay personally in the loop po dito,” Teodoro said.

He said state officials are coordinating closely with local government units likely to be affected by the weather disturbance.

Teodoro said updates regarding the typhoon would be posted on government social media sites and will be released to regional media networks.
