Heads will roll among government officials involved in the oil spill incident involving three motor tankers that sank off Bataan last July, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said Thursday.
At the distribution of various aid to fisherfolk and their families in Navotas City, Marcos Jr. said an investigation is ongoing to identify the persons who will be held accountable.
Authorities are investigating the sinking of motor tankers Terranova, Jason Bradley, and Mirola in Bataan.
The possibility of the ships being involved in oil smuggling is being investigated. Jason Bradley and Mirola were initially found lacking authorization to operate.
