President Ferdinad Marcos Jr. has ordered the reorganization of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board.
Administrative Order No. (AO) 25, signed by Marcos Jr. on September 5, 2024, included the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Education as members of the NEDA Board.
“Agriculture plays a vital role in promoting food security, employment, and rural development, which are key components of social and economic transformation and inclusive growth,” AO 25 stated.
The latest directive also highlighted the central role of education in developing human capital and addressing poverty, inequality and unemployment.
