House Speaker Martin Romualdez expressed his gratitude to Filipinos for the recent boost in his public satisfaction and trust ratings, highlighting support from Visayas, his home region.
“I want to sincerely thank our people for the trust and confidence reflected in the latest survey results,” Romualdez said, referring to the recent Tangere survey conducted from September 16 to 19.
“While these numbers may seem modest to some, they embody the collective faith of the Filipinos I am honored to serve every day,” he added.
The Tangere survey indicated that Romualdez’s satisfaction rating rose from 45.55 percent in the previous poll to 46.3 percent, and his trust ratings increased from 56 percent to 56.4 percent.
Romualdez, who has announced his intention to seek reelection next year as the congressman for Leyte’s 1st district, noted strong support from Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Eastern Visayas in the survey results.
“I am particularly thankful for the warm support from the Visayas, where my roots run deep. Your loyalty has always encouraged me, and I will strive to be deserving of your trust,” he remarked.
“Every incremental increase in trust and satisfaction reminds us of the significant responsibilities we bear as public servants,” said Romualdez, who is also the president of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats party.
He acknowledged the challenges of public service but emphasized that making a positive impact through legislation and government programs for those in need drives his commitment to serve.
“I recognize that there is still much work ahead. Our nation faces numerous challenges, and I assure you that the House of Representatives will tirelessly pursue meaningful reforms to combat poverty, enhance healthcare, create jobs, and strengthen our democracy,” Romualdez stated.
The Tangere survey included 2,000 respondents from various regions in the Philippines: 12 percent from the National Capital Region, 23 percent from Northern Luzon, 22 percent from Southern Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.
