Senate President Francis Escudero has assured the timely passage of House Bill No. 10800 that contains the P6.352 trillion General Appropriations Bill (GAB) for 2025.
The Senate is now waiting for the approved version of the GAB so it can start the deliberation on the proposed spending plan, according to Escudero.
The House of Representatives approved the budget proposal on third and final reading on Wednesday.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has certified the 2025 national budget as urgent, allowing lawmakers to expedite the passage of the national budget on second and third reading.
