1. The “No Work, No Pay” Rule
Dahil ito ay isang Special Non-Working Day, ang basic rule ay “no work, no pay.”
2. Holiday Pay Computation (Special Non-Working Day)
| Scenario | Computation Formula | Sample (If P1,000 Daily Rate) |
| Pumasok (First 8 Hours) | Basic Wage x 130% | P1,300 |
| Overtime (Lampas 8 Hours) | (Hourly Rate x 130% x 130%) x Excess Hours | P211.25 per hour |
| Pumasok (On your Rest Day) | Basic Wage x 150% | P1,500 |
| OT on Rest Day | (Hourly Rate x 150% x 130%) x Excess Hours | P243.75 per hour |
Unlike Regular Holidays (tulad ng New Year), wala itong “present or on leave with pay the day before” requirement para makuha ang premium rate kung sakaling papasok ka.
4. Summary for HR & Employees
- Feb 14 (Sat): Valentine’s Day (Ordinary Working Day – Regular Pay)
- Feb 16 (Mon): Ordinary Working Day (Perfect for Bridging Leave!)
- Feb 17 (Tue): Chinese New Year (Special Non-Working Holiday – +30% Pay)
